BLUE DIP DYE NAILS

I saw someone with dip dye effect nails recently and I loved it. I had to try it ASAP. Before attempting this I looked at the different methods that people use so that I knew vaguely what I was doing. The main method that I saw was using a make-up sponge to gradually build up the nail polish. However since I didn't actually have a make-up sponge and was too impatient to get one, I used a different and probably less effective method. I painted the nails first in the lighter blue and let them dry. Then, starting about halfway up the nail, I painted each nail with the darker blue and let them dry. I then dipped a cotton bud into nail varnish remover and lightly brushed it over the line where to two colours met to blur the line. I was really pleased with how they looked and am definitely going to try it again with different colours and methods in the future. XOXO

MY DAILY FAVE

I've actually had my eye on this American Apparel black leather skirt for ages but today in particular it has become my 'fave' because today I'm obsessed with it. It comes in loads of colours like orange and pink but I think black for me is the clear stand-out choice (but then basically everything I own is black sooo..). I would wear it with a tucked in oversized band tee and heels for night or a slouchy jumper and hi-top wedges for day. It is so gorgeous but so expensive at £100. It is way out of my price range but a girl can dream right? *sigh* XOXO

CHANEL INSPIRED NAILS

Okay so this feels really late because I did this maybe two weeks ago but I was busy and forgot to post it. These nails are a copycat attempt of the nails at the Chanel Couture Autumn/Winter 2012 show. I did only one layer of silver polish followed by two or three layers of pink. I really liked them because I hadn't seen this nail design before and they are quite different. I was also feeling kind of girly so I was really into it. XOXO

MY DAILY FAVE

So my daily fave today is the the Louise Gray for Topshop range that just came out. Above are my favourite items. Everything is fun and loud and sparkly. I love the little pots of glitter and sequins and the lush nail polish. My favourite favourite item is the sequin dress at the top. The colours and the shape and the pattern are perfect. Can someone just lend me £200? To view the whole collection click here XOX

JUST A DRESS

DRESS - TOPSHOP

I just wanted to show you my dress that I wore to work today. I love it because it is a feminine shape but not overly girly because of the floral grunge design on it. It is kind of old but it is one of my favourite things to wear and I always get loads of complements whenever I wear it. OX

BOO DOCTORS

BODY, SHORTS & SHIRT - ALL TOPSHOP, BAG - CHARITY SHOP

So yesterday was a nightmare. I had to go to the doctors early in the morning for a blood test. OH MY GOSH it was so awful. Firstly, I was only allowed water and no food for twelve hours beforehand. This was no fun. Mainly because I couldn't have a cup of tea when I woke up. I think this was why I was feeling so faint. With this, I was also petrified of having the blood test. The actual test was painful and horrible but was over quite quickly. I was so relieved that it was done and just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. As I was walking out of the room I started to feel sick and hot and then I blacked out. The nurse made me lay down and made me some tea and I eventually felt better. I just want to say right now that she was the nicest nurse ever. I've met some horrid nurses in the past but she was so sweet. I felt like I should have given her a tip of something because I had been so overdramatic. My doctor also came in and explained why it happened and made me feel a bit better. I'm not going to say what's been going on until I get my results and know that it is nothing serious (touch wood). But yeah then I just could not function for the rest of the day and felt rubbish. XOXO

SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER TIME

CROP TOP - AMERICAN APPAREL, MAXI SKIRT - TOPSHOP

Wooah Saturday was like summer in a day. It was so hot! I was working at the shop and wearing my black maxi was a must because it was covered enough to be suitable for work and so floaty and light. I paired it with my new top from American Apparel. I am so crazy about it. When I saw it on the website I thought it was so gorgeous. It's so 90's and really different from what the mainstream high street shops are selling. They sell it in loads of different colours and I'm already saving to get more because I'm obsessed. I also decided to wear my hair in a ballerina bun because I desperately needed my hair to be out of the way. It is always so hard for me to do a bun that doesn't give me a headache and stays in place, but I thought I would give it a go. I just tipped my head upside down and made a ponytail right at the top of my head. I then twisted the hair around the ponytail and pinned it in place with loads of bobby pins. It was so secure and didn't feel heavy or give me any problems all day. I was really surprised and seriously loved it. XOXO

A-LEVEL RESULTS DAY

SHIRT - TOPSHOP, LEGGINGS - TOPSHOP, BAG - MARC B

Yesterday in the UK was the day when students got their exam results. AHHHH scary. I was so terrified that I was going to fail and I really could not deal with not knowing how I had done. I got a C in Art, and a D in both English and RE. I am so happy!! They are all passes so I am fine to go on and do another year at school. Some people heard my grades and were like 'Oh, I'm sorry' and I got so annoyed because those grades, to me, are amazing. I won't go into details, but I've had kind of a rough two years and the fact that I even sat my exams is enough for me to be proud of. Thanks to the wonderful drinking culture in this country (LOL please), last night it was almost compulsory that every student went out. I was super-tired and feeling a bit sick so I only went out for like an hour and a half. It's always insane on Thursday nights because that's the night students tend to go out anyway, but last night I think every student in town was out. Seriously. I hung out with a few close friends and had a drink and a laugh and loads of fun XOXO

VOGUE PARIS SEPTEMBER ISSUE

J'adore! <3 Vogue Paris went with Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy and Lara Stone to cover their September 2012 issue. Shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, the three supermodels are wearing the same black Dolce & Gabbana dress and each have their own cover for people to choose from. Of the three, my favourite is the stunning Kate Moss cover. There is never much competition when it comes to Kate because she is one of my favourite models. Which is your favourite? XOXO

HARVEY'S BIRTHDAY

Last week was one brothers birthday, and this week is another. My beautiful brother Harvey turned eleven yesterday so like last week my dad, my older brother and I drove to my step-dads house to see him. I got him a Adidas bag for starting secondary school, and he loved it. I wore New Look leggings and a Topshop oversized shirt with a black vest. When I go to see my brothers I try to wear something loose and casual, because they are so boisterous and I can never wear anything girly or expensive anywhere near them! The amount of times they have wiped their dirty hands and spilt juice on something nice I have been wearing - NEVER AGAIN :) XOXO

BYE BYE OLYMPICS :(

I'm kind of sad right now, because the London Olympics are over and I miss them. How am I going to watch normal television? It was a mental two weeks, and there were so many great moments. Just some of my highlights include Mo Farah, Bradley Wiggins, Andy Murray and Jessica Ennis. They were all so amazing. I found myself watching something every day. It just captivated me in a way that I could have never imagined. It has been a daily talking point, and I love how everyone just got behind the athletes.

The Opening Ceremony was kind of mind-blowing. So crazy and ridiculous and my brain couldn't cope. The bit with James Bond and the Queen was just the best. The. Best. Maybe the single best thing my eyes have ever seen. I also loved the section with the characters like Voldemort and Mary Poppins. The whole ceremony was just kinda bizarre and funny and weird and I loved it. Danny Boyle, the creative director, is just a genius.

The Closing Ceremony was, lets be honest, far less impressive, but still had it's moments. I found that the parts that were good were REALLY good, and the parts that sucked, really REALLY sucked. My favourite parts included Madness, the Models and their little fashion show, Annie Lennox, Fatboy Slim, Eric Idle and The Who. But then, there was Jessie J singing with Queen (WORST IDEA EVER), Emeli Sande who kept popping up and being super-annoying, and Taio Cruz. I'm sorry, I just don't understand why he was there. Oh and of course One Direction which was just embarrassing for the nation. Of course, it was all well and good, but I wasn't watching for this. I was watching for THE SPICE GIRLS *scream*.

This was just the moment that my life had been leading up to. I was SO excited. There is just something about them that takes me back to being six. Okay, so they were not perfect but that isn't why we love them. They are 'GIRL POWER'. They are fun and amazing and I just love them SO so so much. It would have been nice if Posh could have stepped it up a bit and I really wanted their performance to be longer than three minutes but whatever. It seemed that Boris Johnson loved them too. Within minutes this was everywhere and it made me smile.

Later in the night, courtesy of Victoria..:

It was all so much to take in. It was clearly the best part of the night and made watching some of the lesser performers (Sande, I'm talking to you) worth it. Obviously I couldn't forget what the night was meant to be about. It was sad to see the Olympics go because I just loved it all so much. I am really quite proud of what this country has achieved and shown to the world and it was incredible to watch. XOXOXO

FURRRRRR....

I am a massive lover of faux fur. It was everywhere in both the couture and the Autumn/Winter collections this year, and I am counting on it being huge in the next few months. Fur has suddenly become bright and fun and big and full of colour. Below is some of my faux fur inspiration for right now:
