FEBRUARY: I'M FEELING INSPIRED

While February has honestly been the most dull month ever, one positive I take is that London Fashion Week was buzzing with excitement and great style inspiration. Thanks to modern technology I was able to enjoy loads of aspects of the week, such as watching catwalk shows and interviews, from the comfort of my bedroom. Of course I loved many of the shows, but I grew far more interested in seeing all the incredible streetstyle that has been going on. London is praised for it's individual and creative style, meaning it is always interesting. Below are just some of my favourite looks floating around on Tumblr from LFW.

VALENTINE'S INSPIRED NAILS

What do you think of my Valentine's Day nails? I know that Valentine's Day was a while ago now but who cares? I think these nails can work for any time of  year. Since doing my Comme Des Garcons nails ages ago I've wanted to do some more cool heart nails but never found the right time until now. I used two coats of baby pink nail varnish (Strawberry by Barry M) and once dry created the hearts using two coats of red (Heart on Fire by Rimmel London). It is pretty easy to create the heart shapes as you don't have to be completely spot on, and my long and curved nails also are a pretty perfect shape for the bottom of a heart. I then used a white nail pen to do the outline of the hearts. That was definitely the most tricky part but the end result really looked better because of it. I contemplated not doing an outline but the red and pink clashed quite a lot so the white really helps to stop that. It also just adds a bit of detail which makes them look nicer. I finished with a clear top coat (Sally Hansen) and job done! XOXO

YOU BETTER GET A JOB

SHIRT, NECKLACE & SHORTS - TOPSHOP, TEE - VINTAGE, JACKET & BOOTS - ASOS, BAG - PRIMARK

Saturday was my last day at my job that I've had for almost two years at a lovely vintage shop. It was such an amazing experience and I feel so lucky to have had my first job be such an enjoyable one! I met loads of lovely people and always loved every day. Anyway this means - as the title suggests - I better start looking for a job. Oh boy is that gonna be fun. XOXO

FOE

Thanks to Vevo, which is really quite useful for introducing me to loads of random music, I'm all about this girl at the moment. Foe (real name Hannah Clark) creates really punky and fun music and this song, 'Cold Hard Rock' is my favourite at my moment. I'm really loving 'A Handsome Stranger Called Death' and 'Deep Water Heartbreaker' too. Also, she has a sweet collection of wigs, and great voice and is frigging beautiful. Check her out. XOXO

BLACK CHERRIES

I find that without doubt, whenever I go shopping I end up buying a new nail varnish. My newest is from Rimmel, one of my favourite brands for nail varnish. It's kind of a dark red/purple colour. I guess the name on the bottle - black cherries - is pretty spot on as a description. I love everything about this varnish. The colour is so classic and elegant, and it would be a great colour to wear for an evening if you like something glamorous without being over-the-top. The finish is also so glossy and shimmery, making it pretty hard not to get distracted looking at my hands all day! It's the best nail varnish I've picked up in so long! XOXO

LEOPARD PRINT & PLAID

COAT - NASTY GAL, SHIRT, SKIRT & BAG - TOPSHOP, BOOTS - ASOS

Bit of a clash of patterns, but I think I made it work. I don't usually wear patterns but I felt like a change and wearing something really interesting and a bit out of my comfort zone. Even though I was boiling all day it was totally worth it! My amazing new fur coat is from Nasty Gal and it is my favourite thing at the moment. It feels really glam yet it is not so massive or over-the-top that it feels impractical for college or just everyday. It was dead cheap too which has made me love it even more! I love wearing my oversized plaid shirt too. They are so timeless and versatile and comfy. I think everyone needs one in their wardrobe. Also, I am wearing a skirt in these images even though it seems barely visible. I was having major issues all day having to tug it down and not show my arse to the world! XOXO
