GREEN OMBRE NAILS
Hey everyone! So I've done a few attempts now at ombre or dip-dye nails in the past (here and here), and this week I felt like experimenting some more with a sponging technique. The result this time is by far my favourite. To do this you'll need a sponge (I used a standard yellow cleaning sponge and cut a square out of it to use), three colours and a top coat, cotton buds and nail varnish remover.
I started by applying one coat of the lightest colour (in my case, the Rimmel London 'Peppermint' polish) to each nail and letting it dry. This just helps create a solid coverage at the end. I then took the square of sponge and painted lines of the three colours (including the light colour used for the base) onto the sponge next to each other, from light to dark. I then pressed the sponge onto each nail. I repeated this a few times pressing the sponge slightly higher or lower on the nail it blends the lines between colours, creating a seamless look. You also might need to repaint the sponge a few times to get full coverage on all the nails. The sponge creates a slightly rough texture on the nails when they dry so I used two coats of topcoat to make the nails nice and smooth.
I found this technique super easy and quick, and I love the result. The only negative is that it is pretty messy, with lots of excess nail varnish around the nail bed. However, that's pretty simple to clean up with cotton buds and nail varnish remover, and then you are good to go!
I hope you guys like like nail look! I think they look amazing (if I say so myself!) I am so excited & I just cant wait to try out loads of different colour combinations next! XOXO

MARCH: I'M FEELING INSPIRED
It's that annoying time of the year where it isn't warm but not super cold either (although bad timing it's snowing right now but whatevs...) which I find can be quite fun because it means that you can mix up and experiment a lot more with fashion. This month I've particularly been digging the new jean of the moment - the boyfriend. I really love the relaxed and baggy style, either worn with some converse or heels. They are so interesting and different from what everyone has been wearing, and add so much to even a really casual look. While in the past I've always played it safe with a classic pair of skinnies, I am really into this style and think I'll be brave and get some for myself. I think that H&M in particular has some really great styles of boyfriend jean at the moment, so if I get some it will definitely be from there!

SHUT UP YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD
ASHISH SEQUIN TEE (AVAILABLE AT BROWNS) - £520
Ashish has slowly become one of my favourite designers. Everything they create is so incredibly effortless and punky. I spotted this while browsing the ASOS website the other day and just love it. Sadly with the designer price tag my love for this tee will remain unrequited. £520? Yeah, erm, I'll pass thanks. Oh well a girl can dream... XOXO

I'M GOING WILD FOR THE NIGHT
JACKET - ASOS, VEST - TOPSHOP, NECKLACE - RIVER ISLAND, LEGGINGS - TOPSHOP, SHOES - SELECT, BAG - PRIMARK
I'm quite proud of myself for making this post today because I am severely hungover. Last night was the birthday celebrations of my friend Fiona, and it was a lot of fun. It has been a seriously long time since I last went out for a drink or 10, so I was really looking forward to it and it was so fun to catch up with all my friends. Umm, I've been trying to think of a funny or interesting moment but I'll be honest - it's a bit hazy. Then again, all the best nights are right? ;) XOXO
*This is my jam at the moment, and also gave me great inspiration for a night of heavy drinking*

NO MONEY NO FAMILY SIXTEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF MIAMI
Iggy Azalea is an Australian rapper making awesome music right now. While I've been into some of her stuff for a little while (like 'My World' - above - from her first album 'Ignorant Art') it wasn't until I heard her new single 'Work' on Nick Grimshaw's breakfast show on Radio One the other day that I became officially obsessed. I can't stop playing it. XOXO

RIDING HIGH
JACKET - ASOS, BAG - TOPSHOP, SWEAT - TOPSHOP (OLD), NECKLACE - RIVER ISLAND, TROUSERS - AMERICAN APPAREL, SHOES - BOOHOO
I'm wearing my American Apparel riding pants more and more these days, finding they go with practically everything! They are super versatile and can be worn on a night out or during a day at sixth form like today. It's a good thing too as they were bloody expensive so I need to get as much wear out of them as possible to justify myself! Today I wore them with an old cropped sweatshirt and wedged trainers for a comfy and quite sport-inspired look. XOXO
