'CHEERS TO MAKING BAD DECISIONS'

TOP - ZARA, SKIRT - TOPSHOP, BAG - PRIMARK (OLD), SHOES - NEW LOOK, NECKLACE - TOPSHOP

It is rare that an occasion comes along in my life where I can really dress up. With my brother Reece's 18th in the diary, I was very much looking forward to finding a cute evening outfit. I bought this skirt maybe a month ago and have been dying to wear it, so I figured this party was the perfect opportunity. Once I had put it on, I felt transformed into such a lady! It is definitely my new favourite piece in my wardrobe. I got a ton of compliments on how it made me look too which was very nice! It's a great piece to invest in if you, like me, are quite curvy. Pairing it with a crop top kept the look youthful and relaxed, perfect for a night of partying with my brother and his lovely friends.

CAN'T MAKE A HOE A HOUSEWIFE

Mixing stills from iconic 90's movies like Clueless and The Craft with bitchy slogans is the reason why these Untitled & Co. sweatshirts are my new guilty pleasure. While every part of my being wants to be repulsed (brash motifs and slogans aren't really my style), I can't help but seriously lust after these little beauties. I'll just buy one and figure out how to wear it later. Also, how do you choose??!

DRESSING LIKE A DUDE

LEATHER JACKET - ASOS, JUMPER - TOPSHOP, JEANS - ZARA, BELT - TOPSHOP,
BOOTS - ASOS, BAG - TOPSHOP

On Wednesday I was going out for a day with my best friend and I felt like dressing in really comfy and loose clothes. This resulted in me kind of ending up looking a bit dishevelled and boyish. Which isn't a bad thing FYI. I was really into it. My dad however said I looked like a hobo and my brother called me a tramp. Boys just don't get it clearly. There is that saying isn't there? 'There are women who dress for men, women who dress for other women, and women who dress for themselves'. I am in the last two categories, without question.

I've loved the boyfriend jean trend for months now but because of the many rips and cropped leg design I was planning to wait until it was much warmer before unveiling these bad boys. However, I couldn't not wear them a day longer. Teaming them with a chunky jumper and leather jacket meant that I was pretty well defended from the cold. Adding my trusty black biker boots was the perfect way to complete this tough and boyish get-up. While the whole look is very much about being laid-back and thrown together, it's important to add accessorise to show that there was some form of planning and thought put into it. For me, it was about adding a skinny leopard print belt (which was both cute and very practical), a little gold necklace and a structured handbag.

FLOWERS AND PLAID

JACKET - ASOS, SWEAT - TOPSHOP, SHORTS - ZARA, SHIRT - TOPSHOP

My best friend and I went for a good old mooch around the shops earlier this week. I always love spending quality time with my bestest friend in the whole wide world, and this trip was no exception. We spent a good hour or so in Topshop, trying on hats (Dannii looked great in everything - I looked hilarious) and picking up some underwear and general girly bits and pieces. We then went to New Look where we pretty much took over the entire shoe department as we tried on heels. Naturally and as always, we ended the trip filling our faces with MacDonald's. What's not to love about a day like that?

LDN

SWEAT - ILLUSTRATED PEOPLE, SKORT - MISSGUIDED

So as you can tell (or perhaps not - it is quite short), I've jumped on the skort bandwagon and bought myself a black pleather skort. I was very keen to wear it as soon as possible, so wore it dressed down with an oversized sweatshirt and boots for a day hanging out with my gurl Dannii. For Autumn/Winter, I think I'll be pairing it with a sweat or an oversized tee, which would be a great way to create a sports-luxe outfit.

GOLDEN HEELS

God, how have I not blogged so far this month?! Because I've been working a shit ton of shifts at work, that's why! Plus, when I'm not at work, I'm busy with my second job writing for Birthday Mag (if you haven't done so, check it out already!), and so I sort of have had no time. Anyways, this is me getting things back on track - for the meantime anyway.

I've wanted a pair of strappy sandals for months, and with there being so many gorgeous options out there, was finding it hard to find the perfect pair for me. Then while shopping with my bf Dannii the other week I spotted these in New Look and knew they were for me. Well, actually strickly speaking, I first tried on this pair, because in my head I really wanted sandals with a stiletto heel. I've seen so many people - celebrities and bloggers - wearing heels of this height and shape, and I've got to say - how on earth can they walk in them?! Actually, how can even they stand in them?! It was impossible. I instantly knew that they were a bad idea and quickly put them back. So then with a little bit more looking, I found this pair, which have a thicker heel and aren't quite so high. They are super beautiful and comfortable, and with the block heel are far easier to walk in. I can't wait to wear them with boyfriend jeans on a night out sometime soon!

DARK HORSE

Occasionally a beautiful phenomenon will occur where you hear a brand new song for the very first time and it blows your mind. Hearing 'Dark Horse' by Katy Perry was, for me, one of those times. I love the new darker sound and the major 'trap' influence, creating a really fresh and current sound. This song has been the only things I've played on my iPhone for about a week, and shows no signs of getting old.
